After nearly a year as a team of three, we’re adding more oomph to the Cloudways Maverick program. A fourth digital industry leader, Brent Weaver, is joining Lee Jackson, Jan Koch, and Piccia Neri as our first US-based Maverick.
The Mavericks are a hand-picked group of industry leaders who are committed to making the global web community as strong as it can be. They’re here to bring people together, share knowledge of their own or from special guests, and ultimately help us all become more resilient and effective in our professional lives.
Back in 2019, we promised that there’d be a mix of online and in-person Maverick initiatives around the world. But when it comes to conferences and industry events, we all know how 2020 turned out. Luckily, the Mavericks have taken to webcasting like the professional unit that they are. If you haven’t had a good dig through the vault there are dozens of great videos waiting for you – all free. One of the best featured Brent Weaver as a guest, and he was so good that now he’s part of the team!
That webinar, ‘Own Your Market: Overcome Your Agency’s Dependency on Referrals’, gives a really good window into Brent’s world. He’s the founder and CEO of UGURUS, and he’s on a mission to help 10,000 digital agency owners achieve freedom in business and life. UGURUS is a business training and education company dedicated to this mission.
He recently published his first book, Get Rich in the Deep End, which takes agency owners step-by-step through picking a niche and scaling their business. He also walks the agency walk, as a partner and advisor in a white-label WordPress agency, UnlimitedWP.
Brent’s a bundle of positive energy, a seemingly endless source of good ideas, and he cares a lot about making agency owners more effective and successful. All of these things make him a perfect fit for the Mavericks.
At Cloudways we’ve been working more and more closely with digital agency customers, learning how we can help them grow and succeed in a tough industry in a very difficult year. Brent is going to play a big role in these efforts, and we can’t wait to see how much fuel gets added to agencies’ engines as a result.
The timing couldn’t be better, because we’re currently piloting a brand new Agency Partnership Program. Invitations have been offered to a small group of agencies already on Cloudways, and as we validate the structure and benefits of the program we’ll be accepting more and more members.
On November 2, Agency Partnership Program members will have access to an exclusive Growth Coaching Session led by Brent. This hour-long session will cover issues raised by members themselves, whether they’re about topics like marketing and sales, operations and finance, or leadership and mindset. Being able to offer access to a coach of Brent’s level, free, to our agency clients is a true pleasure for all of us. We can’t wait to see how people react to this session, and then plan more great opportunities for Partnership Program members.
On top of all of this, Brent is going to be the first Cloudways Maverick based in the USA. The Mavericks program has always had an international flavor (Lee, Jan, and Piccia are based in the UK, Germany and Spain respectively) and this is another big boost to its global presence.
The USA is home to a lot of Cloudways users, so it makes sense to establish the Maverick program there as well. Watch out for more events in (or near) your timezone and, once the digital community can safely meet up in person again, maybe even near your hometown.
