Running a digital agency or team? You handle clients, messy workflows, and deadlines daily. What if you could solve these problems without starting from scratch?
Meet Great Opomu. He’s the founder of WPFlat. His team turns tools you already use, like email systems or learning platforms, into custom solutions. These save time, cut costs, and fix unique challenges. No need for expensive new software. Outside WPFlat, he helps brands grow through Digitalzooks, his network of digital businesses.
In this interview, Great shares easy ways to improve your work. Learn to manage clients smoothly, fix broken processes, and finish projects faster. Freelancers, small agencies, and teams will find tips to work smarter.
Mansoor: Can you tell me about your journey to becoming an agency coach?
Great: As the co-founder of Digitalzooks, I manage a portfolio of small digital agencies, where I’ve developed a deep expertise in enhancing operational efficiency.
Initially, I hesitated to share my knowledge, assuming that digital agencies were primarily focused on boosting sales.
However, I soon realized that inefficiency is a common pain point for many agencies. They often miss out on potential revenue by failing to deliver the value they’re capable of or by not expanding their client base due to a lack of efficient project delivery systems.
This expertise led me to start helping digital agencies and in-house digital teams who needed to be more efficient.
While marketing attracts clients and sales secure deals, it’s the efficiency of a digital agency that truly ensures the delivery of value to clients.
Many agency coaches focus on strategies to win more clients. Still, my unique approach lies in helping agencies become more efficient, thereby maximizing the value delivered to the clients they’ve already won.
Mansoor: What are your key areas of expertise within agency coaching?
Great: My expertise within agency coaching is in:
- Client Management: Transforming chaotic client relationships into structured partnerships with clear expectations, efficient communication, and smooth feedback loops.
- Internal Operations: Replacing scattered processes with streamlined systems, clear team roles, and optimized workflows that eliminate confusion and waste.
- Project Delivery: Transforming inconsistent output into reliable, high-quality deliverables through standardized processes and effective resource management.
Also, my ideal client profiles are Freelancers, Small digital agencies, and In-house digital teams.
Mansoor: How would you describe your coaching philosophy?
Great: My philosophy is simple: Help people where you’ve found success. It’s easy for me to coach in other areas, but I’ve achieved the most success in operational efficiency.
So I want to be a coach who has the experimental knowledge to be the right guide.
Mansoor: Can you walk me through your coaching process with a new agency client?

Mansoor: How do you assess the needs of an agency before you begin coaching?
Great: This is crucial, especially with my limited time. With my free ‘Efficiency Discovery Call,’ I can assess an agency to determine if they are a good fit for me. If they are, I’ll onboard them to my paid coaching session.
Mansoor: What strategies do you use to foster a productive working relationship with agency clients?
Great: Transparency. This is the most important strategy. Transparency from both me and my agency clients builds the foundation for every successful relationship.
Mansoor: Can you share an example of a successful outcome from your coaching?
Great: Sure.
One successful outcome was helping Technext’s in-house digital team eliminate the inefficiency of managing their web server. Technext had the technical ability, but I helped them realize that it was killing their time. I made the CTO understand how a managed server like Cloudways would save them the headache of server maintenance. This strategic coaching contributed to their 82% growth in traffic. You can read the case study here on my website.
This result was also published in several online publications and social platforms, such as LinkedIn.
Mansoor: How do you measure the impact of your coaching on an agency’s performance?
Great: My measurement of impact is simple: More time saved and more value delivered to clients.
Mansoor: What are some of the most common challenges you face in agency coaching?
Great: One of them is when agencies think they need more clients but can’t see that their inefficiencies are slowing down their growth.
Another one is when agency owners think their existing operational system is fine. This makes it more difficult for me to give the best strategic advice.
Mansoor: How do you adapt your approach when faced with challenges from an agency?
Great: Patience. I patiently analyze their systems and give them data on why they are wrong. This requires me to spend more time on them, but I accept the challenge.
Mansoor: How do you stay updated with industry trends and incorporate them into your coaching?
Great: I constantly read articles, watch YouTube videos, and listen to podcasts from industry experts. I share the insights and data I get from this content with my agency clients to solidify my recommendations.
Mansoor: What do you think are the emerging trends in agency coaching?
Great: Efficiency. Agency owners are now starting to realize that they need to be efficient to keep and deliver more value to their existing clients.
There is a rising need for efficiency coaches (not marketing and sales coaches) to help these agencies succeed.
Mansoor: What advice would you give to agencies looking for coaching services?
Great: Agencies need to understand where they need help. For every agency, your success depends on the three wheels of business growth: Sales, marketing, and operations.
Knowing which wheel you currently need help with will guide you in finding the right coach.
Mansoor: Are there any resources or tools you recommend to your clients to help them achieve their goals?
Great: Well, the best resource is knowledge. I recommend consuming content from industry leaders. This is why I’m always available for free discovery call sessions for both new and existing clients. Every piece of content you consume opens your eyes to a problem you never thought existed. So, every new problem may require the help of a coach.
