Who can join the Agency Partner Program?
Any agency with a working website can apply, with no minimum spend. Partners spending less than $100 a month start at Bronze.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing. Membership is free, and you only pay for the Cloudways hosting you use.
Do I need to be a Cloudways customer?
Existing customers can log in and apply. If you’re new to Cloudways, start a free trial first, then apply.
How do I apply, and what happens next?
Complete the application after logging in. Cloudways reviews each application and replies by email within 2 days. Your growth bonus time limits start from your approval date.
How is my partner tier determined?
By your monthly Cloudways spend: Bronze (less than 100),Silver(100–499),Gold(500–$2,500), and Platinum (more than $2,500). Only your main account counts by default. To include spend from client or referred accounts where you have team access, contact your Agency Partner Marketing Manager or email [email protected].
When do tier upgrades and downgrades happen?
Upgrades apply automatically from the month your spend reaches the next tier. If your spend falls into a lower tier for two consecutive months, you move down starting in the third month, and any growth bonus credits not yet applied are paused.
How do growth bonuses work?
A growth bonus is a set amount of hosting credits you earn when you move up a tier after you’re approved: $250 for Silver within 3 months, $500 for Gold within 6 months, and $1,500 for Platinum within 9 months. Bonuses stack, so each tier you reach in time earns its own. Joining at a higher tier doesn’t earn a bonus by itself. Credits are applied to your invoices 20% at a time, don’t expire, and work on hosting and add-ons.
What’s the difference between a growth bonus and an onboarding discount?
A growth bonus is hosting credits you earn for moving up a tier. An onboarding discount takes 10% off your monthly invoice, for 6 months at Gold or 12 months at Platinum.
What support do I get?
Your tier sets your support level: Standard at Bronze, Advanced at Silver and Gold, and Premium at Platinum. Advanced and Premium Support are included at no extra cost, and you work with senior engineers on faster response times. From Silver, you also get a dedicated Success Manager.
Are website migrations free?
Yes. Bronze and Silver partners get the free Cloudways WordPress migration plugin, and Gold and Platinum partners get unlimited free migrations.
How can I earn as a partner?
Cloudways doesn’t pay partners for joining, but you can earn referral commissions through the Affiliate Program, which you join separately: a lifetime commission starting at 7% plus $30 per referral, or 10% plus $50 at Platinum. If you’re already an affiliate, tell your Agency Partner Marketing Manager so your benefits line up.
