Users of the e-commerce platform Shopify were recently confronted with difficulties as they encountered a “502 Bad Gateway Error” when attempting to access the website.
The issue garnered significant attention, with over 6000 reports flooding in on Downdetector, a popular platform used to monitor downtime and outages. Of these reports, approximately 52% cited problems with accessing the website directly, while around 33% indicated issues with connectivity.

In response to the widespread complaints, Shopify took to Twitter to acknowledge the problem, confirming that their website was down due to a “known issue.”
Despite the reassurance from the company, users continued to face challenges accessing the platform and completing transactions.
