Maurice van Dijk has spent more than 15 years in the world of web development. Through that time, he noticed something that most agencies were getting wrong. Clients didn’t need more technical jargon. They needed real solutions. That observation became the foundation for everything he would build next.
In the Netherlands, Maurice leads Get Stuff Done Development B.V., a no-nonsense development agency built around one simple promise: focus on solutions, not problems. His team builds web applications and automation tools for businesses ready to evolve, and they do it without the meetings, the buzzwords, or the restrictive contracts that slow everything down.
Building the Agency
Get Stuff Done Development B.V. was born from a genuine passion for PHP web development. But passion alone wasn’t enough to define its direction. It was experience across multiple businesses that showed Maurice just how much demand existed for agencies willing to think differently.
Rather than locking into a single niche, the agency serves companies across business automation, the technical sector, and the food industry. The common thread isn’t an industry. It’s a mindset. Maurice looks for clients who want to keep evolving and who want solutions delivered in a straight-talking way.
The agency’s biggest achievement captures that philosophy well. His team built a web application for registering additional work that paid for itself within one week. Previously, that additional work had gone unregistered entirely. “This was very rewarding to see,” Maurice says, “because it shows that our solutions truly create impact and genuinely contribute to improving business operations.”

Solving Real Problems
Maurice doesn’t shy away from difficult projects. One of the most complex his team has tackled involved managing the inventory of second-hand car parts, including sales, purchasing, and integrations with eBay and other platforms.
The challenge was significant. No two parts were exactly the same. Condition, quality, pricing, and compatibility varied constantly across more than 60,000 unique items. Yet many parts overlapped, fitting multiple car models and brands. All of it had to be structured intelligently.
“Our team mainly learned the importance of occasionally stepping back from the scope and maintaining the helicopter view,” Maurice recalls, “while also keeping each other sharp and focused throughout the process.”
That ability to zoom out has shaped how the agency approaches every engagement since.

Three Principles for Growth
Success at Get Stuff Done Development B.V. comes down to three consistent principles. The first is peace of mind: always thinking of solutions and introducing clients to possibilities they hadn’t considered. The second is full ownership. There is no vendor lock-in. Clients own the platforms built for them, completely.
“We believe that clients remain clients as long as they are satisfied with the collaboration,” Maurice says. “A strong partnership works better than restrictive contracts and copyright claims.” If a client ever moves on, he welcomes the conversation. A good cup of coffee and an honest debrief, in his view, is a valuable learning opportunity.
The third principle is privacy and security at the core. These aren’t add-ons. They are built into every project from the start, with partners chosen carefully to reflect that commitment.

Hosting Without Headaches
Maurice found Cloudways the way most practical people do: through a search engine, looking for a fully managed hosting provider that wouldn’t demand deep technical expertise to operate. What he found changed how his agency works.
“The speed at which you can set up a server and start working immediately, combined with support that is always there for you, is a huge USP,” he says. In all his months as a customer, no problem has gone unsolved. No question has been considered too difficult.
That consistency matters. In more than 15 years of working with hosting providers of every size, Maurice has not found a single company that comes close to the level of support Cloudways provides. The difference, he says, is genuine help, not just a fast response.
For Maurice, the impact is direct. His team stays focused on development instead of wrestling with server management. “I can now finally focus on building,” he says, “rather than managing and optimizing servers.”

The Road Ahead
Looking forward, Maurice wants to maintain the growth trajectory his agency has built without making growth itself the goal. As his team works more efficiently, he expects pricing to become more accessible for businesses of all sizes, making automation and SaaS solutions available to more clients.
The challenge his industry faces is real. AI is evolving rapidly while the supply of skilled personnel is shrinking. But Maurice sees that tension as an opportunity. “Staff shortages can actually be addressed effectively through the use of the right intelligently developed tools,” he says, “allowing existing employees to be relieved of repetitive or time-consuming tasks.”
His advice to anyone starting out in his space is simple: think collaboration, not competition. Surround yourself with people who can support you and whom you can support in return. That spirit runs through everything he has built. As his agency’s motto puts it: every problem is a challenge in the right hands, because every problem has a solution.
