Some businesses are built in a moment of inspiration. Others are built through years of persistence, reinvention, and an unwillingness to settle for less than excellent. DigiPix is firmly the latter.

What started as a media production company in Canada has grown, over two decades, into a full-service web design, development, and consulting agency. Behind that evolution is one man with a clear vision and an uncompromising standard. Khurram Qureshi, founder and lead consultant at DigiPix, has spent twenty years refusing to let beautiful work be undermined by poor delivery.

He has weathered bad hosting providers, slow support teams, security breaches, and a global pandemic. He has spent nine months on a single project. He has rebuilt his tech stack from the ground up — more than once. And through all of it, he has held his agency to a motto that is less a marketing line and more a way of life: Passion for Perfection.

Today, DigiPix stands at an exciting crossroads. With a Gold Agency Partnership with Cloudways by DigitalOcean, a newly launched AI division, and a consulting arm on the horizon, the agency is not slowing down. If anything, it is just getting started.

This is the story of how DigiPix got here — and where it is going next.

From Pixels to Platforms

Khurram Qureshi did not set out to build a web agency. He built a media company first. DigiPix started as a content production house, creating photos, videos, 3D models, and animations for clients. But over time, client expectations grew. They needed their content online — fast, secure, and professional.

Khurram recognized the gap. Beautiful content meant nothing if it lived on a slow or unreliable website. So he made a decision that would reshape the entire business. He would take DigiPix beyond the camera and into the digital world.

“Our clients expect more from us,” Khurram says, “while maintaining high-quality production and delivery to be put online with faster and secure websites.”

The early years were not easy. Hosting platforms were far less capable than they are today. Testing took years. Progress was slow. But Khurram stayed the course, driven by a belief that great design and great performance could coexist. DigiPix was evolving — from a media company into a full-service web consulting firm.

A Decade of Hard Lessons

Building DigiPix into what it is today took roughly ten years of trial and error. Khurram is candid about that. Finding the right web developers was difficult. Training them took time. Finding a hosting partner that matched their standards took even longer.

“Finding the right website developer and training was the biggest challenge,” Khurram recalls. “This whole process took about a decade to complete, and there is no other way than trial and error.”

Along the way, DigiPix cycled through several hosting providers. GoDaddy was the first. Khurram remembers the experience with frustration. “It was always upselling and felt pressure to buy more to solve more,” he says. Security breaches were common. It was not the right fit.

They moved to InMotion Hosting. It was a modest improvement, but support was slow and only available by email or ticket. Security remained a concern. Then came a self-managed setup with Digital Ocean using WHM and cPanel. Speed improved, but customer service was nearly absent, and their IP was exposed.

Each provider taught Khurram something new. Every failure sharpened his standards. He was not just looking for a hosting company. He was looking for a partner.

The Project That Proved Everything

Among all the work DigiPix has produced, one project stands out. The Unique Auto Inc. website became the clearest demonstration of what the agency could achieve when every discipline came together.

Khurram describes it as the pinnacle of their work. The project took nine months to complete. It involved 3D modeling, 3D animation, virtual reality, photography, video production, and full custom website development.

“It is by far our greatest achievement,” Khurram says, “of the combination of 3D modeling, 3D animation, 3D VR, photography, video production, and website development.”

The design process alone was grueling. The team had to source a matching car model to maintain visual consistency across the entire site. Then came the task of building a custom 3D Porsche GT3RS model — not just as a static image, but as an interactive VR experience embedded directly into the site.

Speed optimization added another layer of complexity. The site ran multiple sliders, hosted 3D VR content, and pulled from a CDN simultaneously. Balancing all of that without sacrificing load time demanded precision at every level.

“The custom design of modeling in 3D Porsche GT3RS model was most difficult and challenging,” Khurram explains. Yet the team delivered — proof that beautiful design need not come at the cost of performance.

Finding the Right Partner

The turning point in DigiPix’s hosting journey came during a crisis. In 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, their server was hit hard by spam traffic. For a year and a half, Khurram and his team wrestled with InMotion Hosting to resolve it. The problem never fully went away.

They switched to a self-managed Digital Ocean server. Performance got better. But security still lagged, and getting support was a constant struggle. In 2022, Khurram brought in a dedicated security expert and added Cloudflare to the stack. Still, something was missing.

Then came the news of Cloudways merging with Digital Ocean. Khurram saw an opportunity. The infrastructure he trusted, now backed by 24/7 human support.

“After careful discussion, we decided to go,” he says, “as it was a DigitalOcean company and offered 24/7 support. This was the big incentive.”

By mid-2025, the partnership had found its rhythm. Cloudways support teams and DigiPix were working side by side — fine-tuning speed, caching, flow, and security for every client site. Features like server scaling, one-click testing and cloning, and access to Cloudflare’s Enterprise-level CDN at a small-business price changed what DigiPix could offer.

“Small businesses cannot afford Cloudflare enterprise,” Khurram notes, “but with a small cost, we start to take them on board with Cloudways.” He is grateful — and direct about it. “We could not have done without them and their support engineers, so thank you.”

Building What Comes Next

Khurram is not slowing down. If anything, he is accelerating. His five-year vision for DigiPix is bold: to transform the way small businesses approach web design, hosting, SEO, and business consulting altogether.

He has been watching the industry for years. He saw Facebook attempt email. He saw Google try web domains, only to sell the product off to Squarespace. His conclusion is clear. Size does not win. Understanding the customer does.

“It is clear that the size of the company does not matter,” Khurram says. “Customer engagement does.”

DigiPix is now expanding into new divisions. An AI division launched in beta and is set for a public announcement in March 2026. A consulting division is in development, aimed at small businesses that need hands-on guidance during the startup years or during the shift from traditional to cloud-first operations.

“Small business needs hand holding for 2 to 3 years,” Khurram explains, “as startups or those businesses that are transforming from traditional methods of operation to a cloud-first strategy need proper consultation and execution.”

The consulting division is set to launch publicly in May 2026, marking DigiPix’s 20th anniversary. It will signal a full transformation — from web design and marketing agency to a firm that manages, advises, and trains the businesses it serves.

Through it all, one phrase has guided Khurram and his team from the beginning. It is not just a tagline. It is a daily standard.

“Passion for perfection is our motto, and we live by it, but we don’t take it for granted. We work extremely hard for it.”
