WooCommerce is an open-source eCommerce plugin for WordPress, making online merchandising easy for small and large-sized merchant websites everywhere across the internet. In a recent study by Datanyze, it holds the market share of nearly 24%. In order to bring WooCommerce to your use, you need a good hosting platform and an awesome cloud environment. An important hurdle in launching WooCommerce stores is not knowing how to host WooCommerce on Google Compute Engine.

Google is one of the topmost search engine and Cloud environment in the world. Returning a billion of search results, accommodating 425 million Gmail accounts and minimizing search time as low as 6 milliseconds, Google Compute Engine (Google Cloud) empowers a major segment of the Internet products of Google. It won’t be untrue if I say Google Compute Engine (GCE) runs a good part of the internet. 🙂

The whole world is trusting Google Cloud with their websites, so why not host your own online WooCommerce store? Let’s cover a few basic reasons why you need your WooCommerce website hosted on Google Cloud Engine (GCE).

Most cloud providers suffer a loss in maintaining a good uptime for their servers, utterly failing to retain an online presence for websites. A study conducted recently represents that the downtime of GCE annually is as low as to 3.46 hours and ranks second among IaaS. This estimates to availability up to 99.99% promising Internet presence of your WooCommerce website without discontinuance.

Speed is an important attribute while surfing the Internet. According to experts’ reviews on cloud hosting, GCE tops up the hosting charts providing incredible network performance statistics. Creating one of the world’s most reliable infrastructure, Google presents its technological services to schools, businesses, and governments through various data centers. Google has built an environment of high data redundancy which avoids hardware failure irrespective of natural disasters and other incidents. Google Apps has an RPO (Recovery Point Objective) and RTO (Recovery Time Objective) target of instant failover to zero.

Google Cloud Engines are highly scalable. This means that it can successfully handle traffic spikes quite easily. Cloudways Cloud Console incorporates scalable features for changing the size of your service omitting the possibility of changing IP addresses.
