About Increaseo

increaseo homepage

Increaseo is a full-service digital agency based on the Central Coast of Australia. Operating since 2007, the agency has grown from a local outfit into a team trusted by businesses ranging from small local operators to national and international brands.

On any given day, the team might be launching a new website, fixing a technical SEO issue, optimising a Google Ads account, deploying code, analysing GA4 data, or building AI agents and workflows.

That work is led by Troy Roennfeldt, Founder and Managing Director of Increaseo, who has spent more than 19 years in digital. The team behind him is made up of senior specialists across development, SEO, paid media, and infrastructure.

They serve clients across healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing, education, and professional services. For each one, Increaseo is responsible not just for marketing performance but for the technical infrastructure underneath it, which means reliability carries as much weight as results.

As Increaseo’s clients grew, so did the operational complexity behind the scenes. Keeping hosting consistent, secure, and fast across dozens of different environments became a growing drag on the team’s time. That’s where Cloudways, and more recently Cloudways MCP, entered the picture. Here’s how the partnership changed the way Increaseo works.

The Challenge: Too Many Hosting Platforms

Increaseo’s specialists move across disciplines and client environments throughout the day, which meant they were also constantly moving across tools. Developers and account managers jumped between hosting panels, server dashboards, and separate systems just to get simple tasks done.

“Even simple tasks often meant logging into multiple systems before you could actually solve the problem.” — Troy Roennfeldt

Part of the problem was that no two hosting platforms behaved the same way. A performance fix or deployment process that worked well on one environment couldn’t always be carried over to another.

That inconsistency meant the team was frequently rebuilding its approach instead of refining a proven one. Before consolidating on Cloudways, client sites were spread across a range of providers, and the agency dealt with inconsistent server performance and occasional downtime.

Both problems generated unnecessary support requests and investigation time. What Increaseo wanted was straightforward: a platform reliable enough that hosting stopped being a source of friction, so the team could spend its time solving problems for clients rather than navigating tools.

The Solution: Cloudways MCP Cuts Switching

Cloudways appealed to Increaseo first as a way to gain more control over the hosting environment without taking on the burden of managing servers directly. Keeping operating systems and software stacks patched and secure is handled by Cloudways, which meant Increaseo didn’t need to build out a dedicated infrastructure team internally.

Because the agency knows exactly what’s running on each server, performance stays predictable, unaffected by unrelated sites crowding a shared environment. Built-in tools like Breeze and the bundled Object Cache Pro plugin added further consistency across client sites.

That consistency extends across borders. While most of Increaseo’s clients are based in Australia, the agency also supports international businesses, and its Cloudways infrastructure is primarily hosted in Australian data centres, with additional servers in Singapore and Europe to meet data sovereignty requirements and keep sites close to their users.

When Increaseo controls the hosting decision, Cloudways is the platform it recommends, giving the team the same deployment, backup, and monitoring workflow regardless of where a client’s site is hosted.

The bigger shift came with Cloudways MCP, which lets the team manage servers and applications through plain-English prompts inside an AI assistant like Claude. Rather than stepping away to open a separate dashboard, developers can check server health, list applications, review resource usage, or pull deployment details from within the same tool they’re already using, often without leaving Visual Studio Code.

“Instead of stopping what we’re doing and opening another dashboard, we can simply ask questions in natural language.” — Troy Roennfeldt

That shift keeps the team in one workflow instead of breaking concentration every time hosting information is needed. When diagnosing an issue, developers rarely need just one data point.

They need server status, application details, resource usage, and deployment history together, and MCP surfaces all of it in a single conversation. As Troy Roennfeldt put it, AI tools can now “access the information they need directly, rather than relying on developers to manually find screenshots, metrics or logs and feed them into the conversation.”

MCP has moved beyond troubleshooting into day-to-day operations. Restarting services, clearing caches, creating backups, spinning up staging environments, and even resizing servers can now happen through the same AI-assisted workflow, cutting down the context switching that typically comes with infrastructure management.

Increaseo sees this as just the beginning, with AI-assisted infrastructure management becoming a standard part of daily operations rather than a tool reserved for troubleshooting alone.

The Result: Fewer Tickets, Faster Deployments

Standardising on Cloudways gave Increaseo a hosting environment it could predict and build on, rather than one it had to constantly relearn. That consistency shows up directly in the numbers.

Previously, the team spent 4–5 hours each week investigating performance bottlenecks, platform-specific quirks, and downtime reports. That investigative work has largely been eliminated.

Manual security work, like adding .htaccess blocking rules or chasing down Wordfence alerts, used to take around an hour a week. Automated firewall blacklisting and malicious file scanning now handle much of that.

Support tickets tied to websites slowing down under traffic spikes have dropped by approximately 80%.

The built-in Git deployment workflow has removed much of the manual deployment work, saving the development team hours over the course of every project.

“Cloudways has become our default recommendation whenever we have a choice of hosting platform.” — Troy Roennfeldt

Looking ahead, Increaseo sees AI taking on more of the routine oversight of its hosting environment, not replacing developers but freeing them to focus on client work while AI handles monitoring, maintenance, and infrastructure management.

That shift is also opening the door to isolating more clients on their own dedicated servers rather than consolidating them on shared infrastructure, improving performance and resilience without adding operational overhead.
