Today, we shine a light on Shtudio, an agency with humble beginnings. It started as a creative project for Alex Vlassov and his friends. They found joy in helping business owners solve problems with design jobs, realizing they could deliver better results as an external team.
Shtudio now focuses on helping ambitious brands take their next step. They improve branding, messaging, and online presence to attract better clients. Their work helps companies grow and enhance how they are seen in the market.
The Beginning of Shtudio
Shtudio started as a creative side project between friends. The name itself was a shared nickname that stuck before they could change it. What began as a few design jobs quickly grew into a full agency. They realized how much they liked working directly with business owners to solve real problems.
Before this, the co-founders of Shtudio spent years working in-house for companies, handling their marketing and design to website builds. They saw that many businesses hired full-time staff to take care of it all internally. But Shtudio found they could do a lot more, deliver better results, and do it more efficiently as an external team.

Finding Their Path
At first, Shtudio didn’t have a formal plan or a defined niche. They simply kept saying yes to interesting projects and helping people bring their ideas to life.
Over time, they naturally focused on branding and websites for small to mid-sized businesses. They enjoyed collaborating with business owners who are passionate about what they do and just need the right creative support. Alex recalls there’s “something special about helping someone launch their first proper brand or giving an established business a much-needed refresh.”
Today, they work with ambitious brands; companies that started with a simple website or logo but are now ready for something proper. Shtudio helps them scale, reach better clients, and improve how they’re seen in the market through sharper branding, stronger positioning, and a clearer voice.
Growing and Learning
Running Shtudio for over a decade, completely independently, is a big source of pride for the team. They built it from the ground up, just through solid work and genuine relationships. Most clients came from referrals or repeat business, showing the trust they’ve built.
They’ve helped dozens of brands launch, evolve, and grow, making a real impact on their success. They’ve also won a number of awards.
One of their biggest problems was learning how to grow without completely burning themselves out. Alex recalls that early on, they “said yes to almost everything.” This meant they were stretched too thin, and it was hard to keep the level of quality they wanted.
They realized they needed to slow down a bit, focus on the right kind of work, and build better systems. This change brought a much healthier balance, and their work actually got better because of it.

The Shtudio Approach
Shtudio’s success comes from three main things. First, they focus on building real relationships with their clients. They don’t just hand over a website and disappear. Most clients stay with them for years, becoming their go-to team for anything creative or technical. This ongoing trust has been a huge part of their growth.
Second, their work is simple, smart, and user-focused. For any project, they think about what’s actually going to work for the client, not just what looks impressive. They believe design should be functional first, which has helped them stand out.
Third, Alex explains that their growth has been mostly through word of mouth, networking, not marketing. He notes that “happy clients recommending us to others has been way more powerful than any ad campaign.”

Tools and the Future
To keep their small team connected, Shtudio uses ClickUp and Telegram as they are simple, fast, and fit into how they work day-to-day. With Google Drive, they stay on top of projects. They also use HubSpot for CRM. They use a number of AI tools, from content to visuals, to make their work lighter and give better, more cost-effective results.
After trying numerous other hosting providers, Shtudio found Cloudways. They needed something in between traditional shared hosting and the overly complex stuff, and Cloudways hit that sweet spot. It became their go-to after testing it.
The scalability and control they get with Cloudways have been a game-changer. Alex recalls they can adjust server resources in a few clicks, which has saved them more times than they can count. For example, during a high-traffic campaign, they “scaled up the server instantly; no downtime, no stress.” They also use the staging environment to test big updates safely. This simple feature makes a huge difference.

Alex Vlassov is “really excited about what’s ahead for Shtudio.” In the next five years, he says, they want to grow the team with the right people, take on bigger and more creative projects, and bring to life a few ideas. They’ve even discussed setting up a larger physical space. He feels it’s “exciting because we know we’ve only just started tapping into what’s possible.”
For keeping clients, Alex explains they “don’t overcomplicate it.” They focus on the work and make the process feel “less like a transaction and more like a collaboration.” He adds that “people tend to come back when they feel looked after.”
Alex Vlassov’s advice for new agencies is “don’t worry about having everything figured out on day one.” He says, “Most agencies started with a lot of learning on the fly.” What matters is “building trust, being consistent, and genuinely caring about the work you do.” Clients can tell when “you’re invested.” Focus on “listening, being reliable, and delivering what you promise.” The rest “will come with time.” And importantly, “don’t overpromise and underdeliver.”
