About Career Edge

career edge homepage

Sandeep Anand is an Executive Career and Business Coach and the founder of Global Leaders Hub, based in Hyderabad, India. Across more than 18 years, he has coached 100,000+ professionals. That experience now shapes The Career Edge App, his AI-powered coaching product.

The app is an AI-powered resume and LinkedIn optimizer. It delivers a free ATS score in under a minute, followed by an AI-driven resume rewrite, a LinkedIn optimization report, and a cover letter. Every output is grounded strictly in a person’s real experience, and any missing detail is flagged as a gap rather than invented.

Sandeep builds the app without writing code himself. He works with the AI coding assistant Claude Code and hosts the product on Cloudways Velocity, a managed Node.js hosting platform. Read on to see how that setup came together and what it has made possible.

The Challenge: Coaching Hits Its Limits

Sandeep’s coaching reaches people one conversation at a time, and the app he built aims to extend that work to a much larger audience.

Years of coaching pointed to the same trouble spots: resumes that fail when applicant tracking systems parse them, and LinkedIn profiles that leave a person’s actual work unclear.

As Sandeep Anand explained, “the single most common failure point I’ve seen has nothing to do with talent.” The problem sits in how experience is presented, not in the experience itself.

“[The app is] available to far more people than I could ever coach one-on-one.” — Sandeep Anand

Solving that at scale meant building software, and Sandeep is not a developer. The conventional route would have been to find and brief a developer, then wait weeks for features to arrive. The product also needed a home that could properly run a Node-based application.

The Solution: Velocity Powers Push-to-Deploy

Sandeep already trusted Cloudways, having hosted his main website there. As Sandeep Anand described it, choosing Velocity for the app was “the natural next step rather than a leap into the unknown.” After reviewing what Velocity offered for Node-based applications, he found it matched what a high-end optimization tool required.

Sandeep does not write the code. Claude Code does that work while he describes what he needs and reviews the output.

“Once [the code] is ready, it’s a single git push, which triggers a GitHub Action into Velocity.” — Sandeep Anand

Each release starts with one push of code, which sets off an automated GitHub workflow that delivers the build to Velocity. The change is live within a couple of minutes.

Velocity also takes care of the operational layer. Sandeep has spent no time this year on OS patching, SSL renewal, or managing the NGINX and PM2 process stack.

By his account, the platform has held up well under a genuinely mixed load. A single deployment runs Anthropic API calls for the AI rewriting, Razorpay payments in both INR and USD, resume and LinkedIn file uploads, transactional email, and analytics.

The Result: Ownership Replaces Waiting

By his own estimate, operational overhead of this kind used to cost Sandeep roughly 10 hours a week, all of which is now freed up.

Features now move from idea to production within a single sitting, and it has happened multiple times: a mentee-onboarding page with its own database table and admin dashboard, a full brand refresh across the app and its emails, and an interactive product showcase on the landing page.

Sandeep describes what he needs, reviews the result, and ships it the same day, without briefing a developer or waiting on a sprint.

“Cloudways Velocity made it possible for me to actually own a product, not just commission one.” — Sandeep Anand

The app has just launched, and usage remains small by design. For now, it is limited to Sandeep’s personal cohort of top mentees.

A worldwide launch is planned for Q4, around the Diwali season, opening the app beyond that cohort for the first time. Sandeep is targeting 5,000 to 10,000+ monthly users, the audience the app was built to serve.

Expanded career-intelligence and job-matching features are in progress. Sandeep expects to keep shipping them himself, without a development team in place before the launch.
