Why StorePro Prefers Cloudways for Their Customers

An e-commerce agency owner explains why Cloudways hits the sweet spot for his team: full control and visibility over servers plus an expert support team as a backbone, letting them be the single point of contact for demanding online stores.

🎬 Featured: David Blanchard — Owner, StorePro

✨ Highlights
✦ StorePro specializes in e-commerce solutions and development support, from optimizing existing stores to brand-new builds.
✦ They’ve used Cloudways for about five years, sending all clients there and running staging and development on it.
✦ They love having authority and control over the servers plus the ability to scale fast.
✦ The Cloudways support team is a backbone for anything beyond their capacity or time.
✦ They act as their clients’ single point of contact, no “multiple chefs in the kitchen.”
✦ Working mainly in WooCommerce (plus some Shopify and Magento) for clients doing $1M+ a month without a dedicated IT team.

David Blanchard: Hey, I’m David Blanchard. My agency is StorePro and I’m from Phoenix. We specialize in e-commerce solutions and development support, running the whole spectrum from various platforms and customers who already have a presence and they need to be growing and optimizing, to brand new solutions.

We really love Cloudways. We’ve been using them probably about five years now. We send all our clients there, we use their servers for a lot of our staging instances and development. We just love that sweet spot where Cloudways is, where we have a lot of authority and privileges over the servers, the ability to really scale fast so we have more hands-on authority. But we also have the Cloudways team behind us offering that backbone of support where, if something is beyond our capabilities or we just don’t have the time to get into it, just a quick chat away and an expert at Cloudways there, they have our back.

We like to manage it ourselves because we like to have authority and visibility and control over the entire solution. We put ourselves in our customers’ perspective. They don’t want to have multiple people to call, multiple chefs in the kitchen. So we like being kind of in control of all of that, and they come to us, and we remove their headache, we’ll take care of it, and we’ll work with Cloudways to address whatever’s going on. So we like to be that sort of reseller, their single point of contact.

So at StorePro, we’re primarily working with WooCommerce as a platform, although we do some Shopify and Magento as well. Our clients are doing maybe a million dollars, upwards of a million dollars a month, but they tend to have maybe five employees or so. They’re growing to the point where the site needs a lot of oversight and support and it’s critical to their business, but they’re not so big that they have a whole dedicated IT team. We like to be that partner to fill that gap.

I recommend Cloudways for really any agency that is going up beyond some of those low-level providers where you’re using shared servers and the performance is low. So if you really want to be serious about the solutions you’re providing, and really be marketing to that client who’s not just cost-conscious but really wants a good experience, a fast, secure solution.
