George Weiner: Our app was crashing. I was frustrated with our previous hosting provider. And so inside of four days, I completely migrated our entire Cause.ai app over to Cloudways using their various tools and migration assistant. It was unbelievable, because we tested, migrated, had a dev server, the staging, all of it was set, and it was awesome. Which is why I’m now creating this testimonial.

My name is George Weiner. I’m the Chief Whaler of Whole Whale. We are a top 100 nonprofit-focused agency that deals with analytics and advertising and AI. We also create tools for the nonprofit sector, like Causewriter.ai. Causewriter.ai is a custom-built platform for putting more good words in the world.

And we needed to migrate over, and literally we were able to do it inside of four days. By the way, it was going to take a week-plus for our last provider to actually get us the answer and solution. So we have a very sort of RAM-intensive project that requires the vertical scaling that Cloudways provide. So that is one of the things that our director of technology, Axel Kabam, really loved about the fact that we actually have a lot of different servers and applications. As an agency, we need to manage a whole bunch of different organizations, and we are able to do that in our dashboard view of it.

They also offer a level of security that we really need for our application, and I mean it’s absurd, actually, how much international bot traffic we get, and not all of it is good. So they actually allow us for really good security levels of understanding, like what is coming into the site and then how to frankly manage and block it.

Cloudways also has a super helpful AI, but also support. So it’s not just like chatting with the AI. One of their support reps was able to help us with this really thorny configuration issue with one of our applications. I really like Cloudways. I’ve trusted it so far. I wouldn’t be recording this if not. And hopefully that gives you an idea of why we have chosen Cloudways as an agency, not just for our own applications but also for our clients, because of those elements.
