Cloudways Copilot Terms and Conditions
1.Acceptance of Terms
- By signing up to use the Cloudways service, you acknowledge and agree that we will use system and application logs, server and application configuration details, and other technical details for Cloudways Copilot to be able to troubleshoot critical server and application issues and provide you additional insights in the event of an issue with your server or application.
2.Description of General Availability
- Cloudways Copilot leverages OpenAI’s language model (LLM) to provide insights into server and application issues by analyzing server and application-level logs. Cloudways Copilot also offers the capability to Smartfix an issue where Cloudways Copilot will attempt applying the fix, subject to user’s consent. Cloudways Copilot is generally available for all our existing and new users, meaning it will be activated by default on for all the Cloudways users.
3.Data Usage and Privacy
- You authorize Cloudways to access and share your server and application-level logs with OpenAI-based language models to generate insights into performance issues and service outages.
- All server and application logs shared with the LLM will be used solely for the purpose of generating insights and recommendations to enhance the performance and reliability of your application.
- You may opt out of having Cloudways Copilot access to your server or application-level at any time by deactivating Cloudways Copilot from its settings page. Upon deactivating, Cloudways will cease using your data for AI insights.
- Upon opting out of Cloudways Copilot, Cloudways will cease using your logs for generating insights, and any data previously shared will not be used for future analysis.
4.Data Security
- Cloudways is committed to ensuring the security and confidentiality of your data. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your server and application logs during transmission and storage while using Cloudways Copilot.
- However, you acknowledge that despite our efforts, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and Cloudways does not guarantee absolute security.
5.Accuracy of Copilot Insights and Smartfixes
- Cloudways Copilot aims to provide useful insights into server and application performance issues; however, you acknowledge and accept that:
- The insights generated by Cloudways Copilot may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date.
- Cloudways Copilot’s recommendations are based on the analysis of the data provided and are for informational purposes only. It is your responsibility to validate and act on any insights or recommendations.
- The Smartfix action cannot be undone and it may not always result in the issue getting resolved
- Cloudways is not liable for any actions taken, by you or anyone on your behalf, based on the AI-generated insights.
6.Credit Expiration
- Monthly credits expire at the end of each calendar month if unused
- Unused credits are not refundable nor do they roll over to the next month
7.Opt-Out and Termination
- You may deactivate Cloudways Copilot at any time from the Copilot settings screen. Upon opting out, Cloudways will cease using your data for AI insights.
8.Feedback and Improvements
- As a user of Cloudways Copilot, you will be asked to provide optional feedback for AI insights and Smartfixes for each incident. The feedback will be gathered with an aim to improve the feature for you and other customers. You grant Cloudways the right to use any feedback or suggestions provided without any obligation to you.
- Your feedback will help us refine Cloudways Copilot and prepare it for broader use cases.
9.Governing Law
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
10.Acceptance of Terms Again
- By signing up for Cloudways, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by Cloudways Copilot terms and conditions.
