Almost a fortnight ago, we published our predictions for the Cloud industry in 2014. Our community manager then built conversations around it. We are just amazed by in-depth responses of the participants present in these discussions.
We are thankful to Adam Iscoff-Daigian (Product Manager at Elasticbox), Janakiram MSV (Cloud and DevOps Enthusiast), and Ryan Hughes (Leading IT Marketing Consultant). A special thanks also goes to Alberto Arias Maestro for promoting the discussion. Now let’s see what these gentlemen have to say!
It seems everyone is excited about big data in 2014 as well. The perceptions from the industry clearly show that big data and its uses are now diversifying.
Another interesting point of view from the industry insiders is that various cloud computing technologies are now creating hybrid solutions. This shows that businesses are now getting cozy with the cloud.
In 2014, many will be concerned about cloud security too, especially after NSA’s tracking program.
And, how can we forget PaaS? 2013 saw PaaS growing by leaps and bounds with a glitch here and there. However, according to our cloud experts, 2014 looks very promising for PaaS.
We are quite honored to have these responses. If you think you have more to add or we have missed out anything, do let us know in the comments section below.
Last but not the least, the prediction for Next-Gen PaaS is slowly coming true as Cloudways Click&Go will soon enter the “Private Beta” stage.
