Jesse Fowler, the man behind OSC Web Design, has been working on websites for over 20 years now. He officially launched OSC in 2011 after having a daughter and needing to be able to work from home. OSC has grown leaps and bounds since then, and he is proud that he could put together a great team of individuals who are experts in their field. He was quick to realize that websites needed to be responsive and be fully ADA compliant. So, he wanted to be able to learn, grow, and bring new knowledge to help clients. With a background in owning retail stores, Jesse has a unique perspective of how to take an offline business and help it grow online. He knows what people want to see, how they want to interact, and what will encourage them to purchase from a specific ecommerce store over the competition. Cloudways: Tell us about yourself. What is your designation at the agency? What are your core responsibilities?

Jesse Fowler: I am the owner of OSC Web Design, but I also work in the capacity of a Customer Relationship Manager. I am responsible for talking to businesses, listening to their needs, and bringing them on board. Once on board, I also stay with them throughout the full project and make sure the website launches successfully.

Cloudways: What services does your agency provide and how many clients do you currently have? Please tell us a bit about your agency here, like which capacity do you operate in, your team size, your market, and your USP.

Jesse Fowler: We help businesses update or create new websites to better reach their demographics, sell more and take care of order fulfillment. We tend to like working on websites that require a little bit of thinking and custom implementation. Our websites solve problems that go beyond just providing information to users. Our sites can help process custom quotes, integrations with other in house software and commonly finding ways to take spreadsheets and translating them into an online process that reduces hours of work on a daily basis.

Cloudways: How did you first hear about Cloudways? Name one major problem that you were facing that made you switch to Cloudways. Something that was the tipping point, and how Cloudways fixed that for you.?

Jesse Fowler: We have always been looking for fast servers mixed with great service. We gave Cloudways a try to see how it would work and the servers we used outperformed our existing hosting for our clients. We moved over around 60 websites quickly and haven’t looked back. The one part that we really appreciate is the fast customer service when it’s required.

Cloudways: Before Cloudways, which hosting solution did you use? Are you using any other hosting service currently? If “Yes” Why?

Jesse Fowler:We have tried all sorts of them from Bluehost to GoDaddy, Rackspace, AWS. We don’t currently use any other hosting services.

Cloudways: What was your experience with Cloudways when you first signed up? Please tell us about first impressions.

Jesse Fowler: It was very user friendly, easy to move websites and made the process fairly painless.

Cloudways: In your opinion, what sets us apart from other hosting providers? How has our in-built support for Php-based apps such as WordPress, Laravel, and Magento made matters easier for you?

Jesse Fowler: The customer service and fast server/application creation is the key for us. We can get a website transferred over to Cloudways so simply that we can even simply show potential clients that it’s better than their current hosting provider. We work primarily in WordPress & Laravel, so fast launch and implementation of this is very important to us.

Cloudways: How do you use Cloudways to solve your client’s problem(s)?

Jesse Fowler: Speed and security is always a priority for our clients, and Cloudways solves this for us.

Cloudways: How has Cloudways contributed to the success of your agency? Tell us about how Cloudways’ features align with your needs.

Jesse Fowler: We never have to worry about our sites going down or issues happening. The fast customer support has helped us out of jams a few times and it’s nice to know that within a minute or two our problems can be solved, which is not the way with most other hosting companies.

Cloudways: Out of five cloud providers available on Cloudways, which one(s) do you prefer to use and why?

Jesse Fowler: We use Digital Ocean almost exclusively as they are at the price point that works for our clients and we’ve had no issues with them.

Cloudways: How do you resell Cloudways to your clients?

Jesse Fowler: All of our hosting is included with our contract, so they are on monthly retainers and we manage their hosting for them.

Cloudways: If you could briefly describe the values you perceive from Cloudways?

Jesse Fowler: As mentioned a few times so far, customer support, fast speed of servers, easy to handle and manage the server details.

Jesse Fowler: It’s nice to know there’s someone who is there to help when I need it and easy to reach.

Jesse Fowler:I haven’t freed up resources, however I can now easily manage everything for our hosting personally which is nice to be in touch with every detail.
