Cloudways is pleased to announce the addition of Block Storage to its platform. This is great news for our users who have or plan to launch DigitalOcean servers through our platform. Many users requested the integration of this feature as soon as DigitalOcean announced it. Our team worked dedicatedly to make sure that Block Storage becomes available to our users after testing and optimizing the feature.
Block Storage is an exciting feature that extends the available disk space for the DigitalOcean servers. By attaching this feature to their servers, our users could easily increase the available storage space without altering other server parameters.
As we announce this feature, Block Storage is available at San Francisco, New York, Bangalore, London, Toronto, Singapore and Frankfurt datacenters. However, DigitalOcean has plans for increasing the availability of the feature to all its datacenters in the coming years.
Solve A Common Issue
For Cloudways users with DigitalOcean servers, Block Storage is a great solution to a common problem. As their business grows, the need for disk storage increases. However, other parameters such as CPU and RAM are often adequate for the current requirements. Before the introduction of Block Storage, the only option for these users was to upgrade their server size and pay for resources that they might not need.
Now users only have to pay a minuscule amount ($0.1/GB per month) for Block Storage and continue to enjoy the benefits of Cloudways Managed DigitalOcean servers without worrying about running out of storage space.
Team Cloudways hopes that our users who plan to use DigitalOcean servers will attach Block Storage to their servers and start reaping the benefits of (huge) extended storage.
