You can install Yotpo from the Adobe Commerce Marketplace or directly with Composer. I’ll show you both the methods below.

Install Yotpo Extention on Magento 2 Using Adobe Commerce Marketplace

The Yotpo module for Adobe Commerce (Magento) 2 can be installed as any other module through the Adobe Marketplace. Here’s how:

  • Log in to the Adobe Marketplace.
  • Add the Yotpo module to your cart.
  • Complete the checkout process. No payment or payment details are required at this stage.
  • Click Install, and then select the relevant version.
  • Follow the instructions to complete the installation.

Install Yotpo Extention on Magento 2 Using Composer

  • Open the command line.
  • Run the following commands one after the other in your Magento 2 installation root directory.
composer require yotpo/module-review

install-yotpo

composer update 'yotpo/*'

composer-update-yotpo

php bin/magento maintenance:enable

maintenace-yotpo

php bin/magento setup:upgrade

Note: To install a specific Yotpo plugin version, just add the version number at the end of the command, for example, “composer require yotpo/module-yotpo-combined:4.0.1”. The most recent version will be installed if you don’t include a version number.

Setting Up Yotpo Account

Before configuring the Magento 2 YOTPO Extension, you must create a YOTPO Account and get your access keys. Follow the below instructions to create an account:

  • Next, Select Your Ecommerce Platform and Magento Store URL where you want to configure the YOTPO and click on the Create account button.

  • In this case, for example, I selected Reviews and proceeded to the next step. Here you can step up the Review requests Email. If you wish to configure, click Customize Widget or Skip it.

  • Next, customize the Reviews Widget to visualize the appearance on the product page, such as color, and proceed to Integrate.

  • Scroll down and Click on the Finish Installation button.

  • With all that done, you will now see the dashboard.

  • On the dashboard, in the top right corner of the screen, click the Profile icon (🧑‍🦱).
  • Select Store Settings. Your app key is at the bottom of the General Settings section.

  • Next, retrieve your secret key. The secret key is sometimes referred to as your API secret. To retrieve your secret key, follow the steps below.
  1. From your General Settings, click the Get Secret key. You will receive an email with a verification code to the email address associated with your account.

2. Paste the code from the email and click Submit. Your secret key will be revealed on the next screen. Remember, only share your secret key with parties that should have access to your data!

Configuring Yotpo Review Extension

  1. Log into your Magento 2 Admin account.
  2. Click Stores > Configuration.

3. From the Store View dropdown, select the relevant store view.

4. From the menu on the left, select Yotpo.

5. Click Yotpo Configuration.

6. Next, to Enable Yotpo, select Yes.

7. Enter your app key and secret key, as discussed in the above section.

8. f you want to keep the default order sync settings, click Save config. All of your orders will be synced to Yotpo. If you want to make changes, update your Order sync settings before saving.

Now go to the Frontend of your Magento 2 store, and go to any product. You will see an interface similar to this:
