“A Brand is not just a website, a logo or your Platform… It’s an experience that overwhelms your customers.”
We have always been strong proponents of providing the best customer experience at Cloudways. In regards to our continuous efforts of being at the center of customer excellence, we are THRILLED to announce the launch of a new and improved Cloudways.
Yes, we have been busy with the revamp for quite some time now. Finally, we are rolling out the redesigned website, revamped Platform, and blog site.
To top it all off, we have a new logo.
The new logo is a magnificent representation of the Cloud Platform.
To an ordinary eye, it looks like a speeding cloud. However, what’s a logo without a twist?
The multiple thick blue rays are the various options that we provide to our users. These rays come together to create a cloud. You will notice the fourth row is short with another line coming in to join it. This shows the dynamic nature of Cloudways where the incoming line is a feature that will soon join Cloudways.
And with this, I will leave you with a mystery. This logo is complete, but in a few months time, you will see this why I called it mysterious.
Convenient, Collaboration Friendly Cloud Hosting
Cloudways have completely revamped the Cloud Platform. Based on the guidelines of the Material Design, the Platform encompasses all the traits of a scalable design.
First thing first, you can use the Cloudways Cloud Console, the UI of Cloud Platform, on all types of devices. It looks great on a 4-inch iPhone and it looks amazing on a 27-inch iMac Pro.
As we are moving towards the end of 10s era, we are now observing a change in the use of Cloud. Cloud is not only made for computing or storage. It is also being used for Collaborations.
This is why we have doubled-down on this important aspect. The new Cloudways Platform is made for agency use.
Introducing “Projects”
This is a feature we think every developer, working either in an agency or in a freelancing capacity, will love. This feature allows you to create dedicated areas for different web apps. Under “Projects”, you can map installations the way you want.
Re-introducing “Teams” With Granular Controls
This is a feature that we implemented in the first year. Inside the Cloudways 2.0, this feature is getting stronger. Its implementation has been simplified and granular controls have been provided.. Using this “Teams”, you can share the access of apps or servers (or both) to peers of your choice.
User-Friendly Cloud
We wanted to create a Platform that was user-friendly and accessible from any device. When you use Cloudways Cloud Platform, you will notice that the redesign has made it easier for you to launch servers and add applications on your servers.
“We went for the best technology, namely Laravel, and AngularJS, for the redesign of our website. We wanted to create a scalable platform that not only offered ease of hosting, but also an experience that empowers our users to enjoy the most awesome Cloud Platform on the world wide web,” said Pere Hospital, CTO and cofounder of Cloudways. “While working on the platform, we took it upon ourselves to offer the users utmost ease and accessibility. You will notice that the redesign makes it easier for you to create servers and applications on your server and then share it with your team members. It is truly 1-click. “
Simply put, Cloudways 2.0 is a reflection of the needs of our customers. Every single feature has been redesigned keeping in mind our customers and services. The first interaction with the website—the redesigned logo—gives a clear reflection of what we, as a team, had in mind before we got to work on the revamp.
Lightweight Website Running On Cloudways ThunderStack
The freshly-minted Cloudways website is built using Bootstrap and Laravel. Its design is generally based on the Google’s Material UI guidelines.
The content on the website has been written with great care with an angle of transparency included.
All information for a particular application, location, or feature is provided on its concerned page. Visitors can also see how many websites are deployed on a particular app or location.
Any questions that might pop into a customer’s mind while surfing a page are addressed in the FAQs section at the end of the page.
Plus, a Live Chat widget is always there, so customers can ask any question about Cloudways.
All the pages have been redesigned and made with utmost care to project the vision of Cloudways, i.e. simplifying user experience. Here are some great things about the new Cloudways website:
- Redesigned Pricing page with simple to choose pricing plans according to your needs
- Revamped Contributors page to give more space to our success contributors
- Refreshing look for the Partnership page and Affiliate page
- Direct access to the Cloud Platform
It is worth mentioning that the Cloudways website runs on the same stack recipe, aka ThunderStack, that is being used on the Platform. One of the reasons why we provide a great cloud hosting stack is because we first created it for ourselves and then we improvised it with the passage of time.
Adding 4 New Locations
Choice is another great feature of Cloudways. We have four of the best Cloud Infrastructure Providers: Amazon, DigitalOcean, Google Compute Engine, and Vultr. These partners add new locations, every now and then. Once a new location is available, our DevOps team starts working on adding the newly available data center.
While we were working on Cloudways 2.0, we inducted four new locations, France, Canada, South Korea, and Silicon Valley, USA. They have been inside the Cloud Console for some time now. But, it is today that we are announcing these inductions formally.
One More Thing…
New Pricing Plans, New App Versions & Free SSL
No rebranding is complete unless there is a word on pricing. Cloudways has focused on being affordable. We provide the best pricing scheme in the Managed Cloud Industry. Well, while redesigning, we worked out a way to become more affordable. Starting in May, all our high-volume plans will be more budget friendly.
Plus, we have created side-by-side stacks for popular CMS solutions. You can now build Magento 1.9 and Magento 2.0 stores at the same time. Drupal 8 is also available while support for Drupal 7 site development continues.
WordPress 4.5 and Joomla! 3.5 are also available.
Lastly, SSL protection is becoming a must-have element for web apps. A few weeks back, we introduced Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate Authority. Inside Cloudways 2.0, we cut the confusion of its implementation. Our customers will surely love it.
The Future of Cloud Hosting
While working on Cloudways 2.0, we have made sure we develop an end-product that helps our customers in setting up their hosting environments even faster. At the same time, we do not want to break anything.
Improving the customer experience is always our top priority and we’ll continue to find new ways, like Cloudways 2.0, to go above and beyond in every way possible.
Cloudways is a growing product. The collective expertise of our team is the brain whereas the customer’s feedback is its heart. This is a tango of 2 partners. This release is not yet final. We will be refining it further, but we do not want to do anything wrong. Therefore, your feedback is much appreciated.
Lastly, we just want to say: THANK YOU for helping us create Cloudways 2.0.
