It has been a while since I have told everyone about what we are up to. Surely we haven’t just been laying around. We were very busy with many new and exciting additions to our platform that you have been asking for.
First and foremost, just few days ago, we completed the integration with Digital Ocean, the second infrastructure provider on which you can deploy our high performance applications. This has dramatically decreased the entry price for our Click&Go cloud platform and now you can deploy fast and stable applications using our top-notch platform from just $15/month! Besides this major feat, we have added several new applications: PHP stack and PrestaShop.
We have released a best-in-class WordPress Migrator to help you bring your WordPress websites to our platform with extreme ease. Moreover, we have also added an innovative Basic Server Settings feature to help you tweak common server configuration values from our console and a bunch of other improvements.
But that was the past, let’s look into the future!
Our short-term road map looks as exciting as what we just did. Here’s a quick summary:
Git integration:Â Developers will love this one. You will be able to link any application to an external Git repo source (i.e. GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.) and branch. You will then be able to deploy with a single click!
Enhanced cloning features: Right now, you can just clone full servers. With new cloud providers and Git integration, we need more than this. The new “super-clone” will allow cloning apps to same server or different servers. This would be ideal to create test environments paired with Git integration. The same feature would allow users to clone a full server to same cloud, but with a different location or to an altogether different cloud. For example, you can have your production servers on AWS and Development or (test clones) on Digital Ocean.
Mailboxes and DNS:Â Adding mailboxes (incoming email) has been a feature repeatedly requested by our users. This is perfectly in-line with our objective of becoming a one-stop-shop for developers, web and media agencies, and small and medium sized businesses. So, pretty soon you will be able to solve your email needs under Cloudways roof. Not only this, we will offer a full-fledged DNS service too, so you can have full control of your DNS records in ultra-stable environment.
Last but not least, we will be revamping our website to make our message clearer and sharper by simplifying it. I hope you will like the results.
This will keep us busy for a few weeks but we are already thinking on what will be next. As always, your feedback is not only appreciated but fundamental to build the service you need. This is the only thing that we strive for! So, keep us posted!
