Swarms Agency is a creative and innovative digital marketing agency that actively helps clients in digitising their businesses. Cloudways: What’s your agency name, and where is your agency’s headquarters situated?
Mohamed ElQadi: My agency is called Swarms Agency. It is based in Cairo, Egypt.
Cloudways: Tell us about yourself. What is your designation at the agency? What are your core responsibilities?
Mohamed ElQadi: My name is Mohamed ElQadi, Managing Partner and Technical Lead at Swarms Agency. Basically, I’m responsible for everything related to websites and applications starting from clients’ onboarding, technical proposals, analysis, deals, and final product delivery. Also, I’m managing the software development teams and testers.
Cloudways: What services does your agency provide and how many clients do you currently have? Please tell us a bit about your agency here, like what do you guys do? Your team size, which market do you serve? Your USP, etc.
Mohamed ElQadi: Swarms Agency provides digitising solutions for clients inside and outside Egypt. Our services include Software Development, Digital Marketing, Media Buying, Online Conferences, and E-commerce management. We’re more focused on the E-commerce industry as we give our clients a complete service starting from Digital Strategies, Software Implementation, and Marketing execution. Our core value is that we act like an in-house team for our clients, saving them money and delivering them real results focused on growth for their businesses.
Cloudways: How did you first hear about Cloudways? Name one major problem that you were facing that made you switch to Cloudways. Something that was the tipping point, and how Cloudways fixed that for you.
Mohamed ElQadi: I’ve heard about Cloudways from a colleague and when I tried it for the first time, I loved how easy it is to manage everything from the customer’s dashboard without any need to open the terminal and edit the files through FTP or SSH. For me, the main issue was the time taken to recover a backup or edit a file through other cloud service providers. It was really taking too much time deploying and managing servers for our clients.
Cloudways: Before Cloudways, which hosting solution did you use? Are you using any other hosting service currently? If “Yes” Why?
Mohamed ElQadi: We were using AWS and sometimes Google Cloud. However, now we’re always recommending Cloudways to our clients and using the platform ourselves.
Cloudways: What was your experience like with Cloudways when you first signed up? Please tell us about first impressions.
Mohamed ElQadi: To be honest, it was a little bit hard to understand the features you have quickly but once I got used to it, everything sounded very easy to manage later on.
Cloudways: In your opinion, what sets us apart from other hosting providers? How has our in-built support for PHP-based apps such as WordPress, Laravel, and Magento made matters easier for you?
Mohamed ElQadi: I REALLY LOVE YOUR CUSTOMER SUPPORT. Either we or our clients face any issue and your team couldn’t resolve it, even if the issues were caused by the developer, not the server. The support is very responsive and willing to help all the time!
Cloudways: How do you use Cloudways to solve your client’s problem(s)?
Mohamed ElQadi: Cloudways provides easy-to-manage hosting and reliable and scalable hosting platforms for our clients. For example, we had a client for whom we were hosting their website on a 16 GB RAM DO server. Later on, they created their own account and had multiple servers for their applications since they found the hosting service very reliable.
Cloudways: How has Cloudways contributed to the success of your agency? Tell us about how Cloudways’ features align with your needs.
Mohamed ElQadi: Cloudways has been our one and only hosting platform for all of our websites and applications. We can easily create many applications as needed, manage staging and live environments easily and deploy easy and complicated apps without any difficulties.
Cloudways: Out of five cloud providers available on Cloudways which one(s) do you prefer to use and why?
Mohamed ElQadi: We’ve been using DO most often and it was always beyond expectations so we didn’t try any other provider yet.
Cloudways: How do you resell Cloudways to your clients?
Mohamed ElQadi: As we currently host many clients’ apps on it and we use it for our own applications, we find Cloudways the most powerful and easy-to-manage platform for non-technical clients who don’t want to deal with any code or terminal, as well as the 24/7 customer support.
Cloudways: If you could briefly describe the values you perceive from Cloudways?
Mohamed ElQadi: Stable servers, easy backup restoration, responsive customer support, error logging, and staging management.

Mohamed ElQadi: We were able to host multiple applications on the same servers without any performance or security issues. Also, it saves us a lot of time creating and deploying new applications whether they are WordPress, Magento, or native applications.
