Cloudways is excited to announce the joining of Robert Jacobi, an industry veteran, to the team as Director of WordPress. Robert will be leading the WordPress business unit with their strategic partnerships, building community engagement and helping establish new channels of outreach and building brand equity.
Robert brings a host of experience and industry know how to the team having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. For example, Robert previously served as President of Joomla and Executive Vice President of Perfect Dashboard. Back in 2000, he founded Arc Technology Group whose clients included giant names like Eli Lilly, Abbott Laboratories and Microsoft. Alongside working with Fortune 500 companies, Robert has frequently partnered up with major web hosting providers, and now he’s turning his focus completely on Cloudways.
“I am always searching for internet infrastructure companies that have the potential to disrupt the WordPress hosting industry,” said Robert Jacobi. “While working with open source and WordPress, I discovered hosting has become commoditized. Cloudways uniquely brings horizontal flexibility to users in how it leverages the cloud, making it truly entrepreneurial-focused.”
As an internationally respected speaker and a contributor at ICANN at-large and Make WordPress Hosting, we believe that Robert has the edge that Cloudways needs to make even bigger waves in the managed app hosting industry.
Also, Robert’s industry analysis and strategies on his website have been helping readers stay on top of industry news for some time now. Now he brings all these expertise and more than 20 years of experience to Cloudways.
