The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for product positioning, product/feature launch planning and management, competitive analysis, and creating compelling marketing materials to help direct and channel the sales team’s understanding of Cloudways, and build competitive differentiation.This is a highly collaborative role within the marketing team, and requires a self-starter who can influence and work well with teams across the organization, including product management, marketing, engineering, sales, finance and senior leadership.
Duties and Responsibilities
Starting a product marketing function at Cloudways by establishing the strategy and recruitment of product marketing executives.
Build on product messaging that sets new products apart from others in the market to give them a unique selling point
Communicate the vision and value of new products to the sales team and develop sales tools that facilitate the selling process
Plan and participate in the launch of new features and products which involve several different departments including product, engineering, business units etc.
Run customer feedback loops, build tools, and run customer beta testing programs/rewards structures
Brief the PR teams about new products
Obtain insights into customers’ usage of current products, untapped opportunities and buyer personas, through interviews, surveys, focus groups and sales data
Agree timelines and deadlines for the development of new products with product management, engineering, business units.
Use market research data to establish product pricing
Create content such as case studies, videos, website copy, blog posts, & email sequences
Speak and present about products to both external and internal audiences
Research competitor offerings
Create processes with stakeholder buy ins for feature/product launches
Skills / Attributes Required
Proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager in B2B/SaaS/Hosting Industry.
Experienced in defining outcomes focused product marketing metrics
Can be able to correlate product growth metrics with business metrics
Background in design and copywriting is a plus
Experience in market/competitor analysis
Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns)
Working knowledge of product/web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
Excellent communication skills
Keen eye for detail
Creative and observant
Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
BSc/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field
