Cloudways is looking for an experienced Information Security Architect who will play a vital role in our organization by reviewing the current system security measures and help execute the implementation of forward-thinking security programs and processes.
This role requires a person who can communicate and coordinate with different functions, lead roles for defining and implementing security procedures.
The ideal candidate will be critical to our drive-in building & maintaining secure
environments, and instilling system-wide resilience. They must feel comfortable in an innovation-driven environment that requires flexibility and creativity.
The ultimate objective for the Information Security Architect is to ensure that the Cloudways brand remains a trustworthy name in the industry and our business partners and customers continue to see us as a secure link in their business operations.
Major Responsibilities of the Information Security Architect Role
- Develop security processes and procedures for maintaining the detection, prevention, and correction components of our product security
- Plan, research, and design product security architectures
- Aligns the security architecture with the Business and Product development strategies
- Research, evaluate, and recommend information security-related services/tools/solutions
- Research and help design public key infrastructures, certification authorities, and digital signatures to make sure that all applications/users/devices get controlled access governed by their role and needs
- Be familiar with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products
- Participate in the product development processes to ensure security related procedures and guidelines are being followed and implemented
- Respond to all security incidents, provide post-event analyses, and incorporate improvements to the processes.
- Oversees the Vulnerability Management process from identification of vulnerabilities to the patching phase
Qualifications and Preferred Skills
- A BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Eight or more years of work experience, preferably in information security or Software Engineering. We highly prefer a combination of the two.
- Familiarity with API/Apps Security, Container Security, VM Security and Cloud Security (particularly in the context of popular providers such as AWS and GCP)
- Strong understanding of Risk Management and Assessment
- Understanding of Vulnerability and Threat Management and associated processes
- A strong ability to communicate technical information and data to a non-technical audience.
- Familiar with the CIS, SOC or ISO compliance and controls
