WooCommerce dynamic pricing plugins

Running a WooCommerce store is challenging, mainly because of the intense competition that you face from stores in your niche. Since everyone is sharing the same pie, you must deploy strategies and tactics that get you more of the share. Dynamic pricing is an essential tactic that would help you position your store at the head of the pack.

The word “Dynamic” in dynamic pricing means “varying” or “constantly changing” based on several factors, including demand for the product and the customers’ preferences.

In this article, I will take you through WooCommerce dynamic pricing plugins and configure them on your WooCommerce store.

What is Dynamic Pricing

Before we rush towards WooCommerce dynamic plugins, it is crucial to establish a strong understanding of dynamic pricing and how it benefits your online store.

Dynamic pricing is when you set adjustable or changeable pricing for a product or a group of products based on several factors, including the demand. Consider the case where you have a top-selling product, and you believe if you increase its price, you will see a boost in your revenue. This strategy is called dynamic pricing.

You can also use dynamic pricing to move out-of-demand products at discounted prices. While you have top-selling products that move on their own, you also have unwanted products that you can sell by discounting their prices using the dynamic pricing strategy.

Advantages of Dynamic Pricing

Now that you have an idea of what dynamic pricing is, let’s take a look at some of its advantages.

Boost Sales & Revenue

You can increase the sales of products that are performing poorly. Similarly, you can discount products on events such as Black Friday or Boxing Day for an increase in revenue.

Beat Competition

Dynamic pricing allows you to change your product prices based on your competitors’ pricing. You can attract their customers to your store by lowering your prices.

To make your first rule, you need to go to the plugin settings from YITH Plugins – > Dynamic Pricing.

Dynamic Pricing Setting

Now you can enter the rule name. To set it up, click on the “Add new rule” button.

Add New Rule

I am adding 50% discount for all products. Exciting, isn’t it? Wish it was real, though!

Add Discount

New Rule Configuration

  • You can apply the rule to all products of the shop or just to those identified with at least one product category.
  • You can enter the minimum quantity of products to apply the discount to
  • You can enter the amount of discount (at a percentage in respect to the product cost).

Discount Description

As you can see in the image above, we assume a 50% discount on all products that are 5 or more in quantity in the cart.

Suppose I purchase six  Black T-Shirts and the price of the 1 T-Shirt is $50.

Product Detail

Now, let’s see if the discount is automatically applied or not

Cart Description

As expected, the discount has been applied for the “black t-shirt” category on purchasing more than 5 units.
