We have been on the lookout for someone to lead our Engineering team here at Cloudways for the past two quarters. In anticipation of profiles with experience, of someone with organizational and engineering understanding, we listed a vacancy on our careers’ page. What we really wanted was someone who has been there and done that, who could provide our engineering team with exceptional technical, business, and management skills.
Opportunity Knocks
Meanwhile, on the other side of the planet, Paul Haverstock was searching for a hosting solution, when his developer just happened to suggest Cloudways. Paul went over to the Cloudways website and realized that this was something he wanted to build himself. On a whim, he looked at our careers page and an opening caught his eye. He applied.

Today, we are proud to announce Paul Haverstock as VP of Engineering at Cloudways. Paul brings a ton of experience with him, including with high-profile companies such as Microsoft, Phillips Lighting, IBM, Nokia, Lotus, Zume, Endurance International Group, and more. Having worked on products such as BlueHost and Hostgator, he has the expertise and skill-set we were looking for. Welcome to the Family
Paul has relocated from the US for close coordination with the Engineering team in Pakistan, and is now working full-time from our UAE office. We welcome Paul Haverstock to the Cloudways family with glee, and wish him the best in this new role!
