Recently, we introduced three new conveniences: Gmail SMTP add-on, Server Cloning and PHP Stack. Now, the time for a fourth one is here. Our clients demanded for SSL implementation ever since we began our Click&Go journey. Well, this is now available to all our Click&Go platform customers.
So, what’s SSL?
An SSL certificate encrypts sensitive data like credit card numbers and personal information when it is transferred over the web.
It converts HTTP protocols to HTTPS and gives a padlock icon on your browser’s address bar which means the browsing session is locked.
When you use an SSL certificate, the data transfer between the servers is secured. This makes it harder for hackers to snoop on data.
And, why do you need it?
Anyone who owns an e-commerce venture, like an online shop or auction website, should get SSL implemented on the website.
Customers do not shop on websites which do not provide SSL encryption. This is why it is necessary for you as it builds trust with your visitors.
Now, how would you use it?
SSL installation and management with Click&Go is very easy. You will find a dedicated section for SSL inside the Application Management tab.
First, you will be provided with a simple form which on submission will generate and download CSR for you. Then, you can submit this CSR to the SSL provider to get your certificates. Finally, you can then install the certificates by uploading them through very intuitive UI. No need to get your hands dirty with complex server processes!
